Join The Vancouver Basketball Academy™ for a signature Girls Nike Basketball Clinic. This clinic is designed for the female athlete looking to enhance their skills and develop their leadership. Our coaches and training environment will be sure to leave you empowered and inspired.

The Vancouver Basketball Academy™ Girls Nike Basketball Clinic was a huge success thanks to all of the hard work, energy and passion the athletes brought over the full 3 hours! Over the course of the clinic we covered different individual and team skills such as ball handling (ball manipulation) and shooting, transition offence, moving off penetration and reading the second layer of the defence. Our Coaches were so impressed with how willing athletes were to take on challenges and push out of their comfort zones. Thank you to all of the athletes and families for making this such a memorable experience and a special thank you to Union Basketball.

Adriano Catena
Director of Basketball Operations & Head Coach

Adriano Catena is a former professional basketball player with over 10 years experience coaching high school, university and professional aged athletes. Adriano holds a BA Communications degree and has been certified as a Mental Performance Training Coach. He is currently the Director of Operations and Head Coach at The Vancouver Basketball Academy ™ and an Assistant Coach at the UBC Women’s Basketball program. Adriano is passionate about coaching and inspiring people around him to be the best version of themselves.

Megan Pinske
Head Coach

Megan Pinske is a former university, Canadian National Team and professional athlete with over 12 years’ experience coaching both collegiate and high school aged athletes. Megan holds a Masters of Coaching degree from the University of Alberta and has coached with three Provincial Basketball Organizations; BC, Alberta & Saskatchewan. She is currently the VP of Community Impact at The Vancouver Basketball Foundation™. Megan is passionate about teaching and inspiring young athletes to love the game and stay active.
